Meet The Team

Kiyomi has taught elementary education for over 21  years with Oakland, Pacifica, and more recently, San Carlos.  She has her B.A  degree in Family Studies from San Francisco State University and Masters of Arts in Teaching from University of San Francisco. Kiyomi brings her passion for community service, social emotional learning, gardening, and cooking into the core philosophy of Coastal Cove Learning. 

Heiko has taught at Claire Lilienthal School in San Francisco for 20  years and currently teaches 3rd grade. He earned his Biology and Religious Studies degrees from UC Santa Barbara and Masters of Arts in Teaching from University of San Francisco. Heiko is a certified SCUBA Instructor and Rescue Diver and has his first degree black belt in Judo. In his free time, he can be found playing water polo or paddling his outrigger.
